Best Practices for an Online Video Interview

Modified on Thu, 31 Oct, 2024 at 7:25 AM

How is an online interview conducted?

Some assessment processes include asynchronous video interviews, which you can complete at a time that best suits you. During the interview, you will be given a series of questions in text or interactive media format, which you can answer by recording your answers with a camera and microphone, either on your computer or smartphone.

The interviewer will review your answers once they have been uploaded. However, it is important to note that asynchronous video interviews generally do not replace an in-person interview in later stages of the hiring process, as the latter offers a more personal opportunity to get to know each other better and establish a more direct connection.

What type of device do I need?

Like other online assessments, asynchronous video interviews can be conducted on any mobile or desktop device that has a camera, microphone, and a stable internet connection. Make sure you have the appropriate settings to ensure good audio and video quality during recording.
