The system won't let me in because it asks for access to the camera and microphone

For security and integrity reasons, many companies require your assessments to be monitored remotely. This means that the system will need access to your webcam and microphone, as photos are taken at the start and during the assessment to verify your identity.

Suggestions for troubleshooting camera and microphone access issues:

Check sound connection:

If you're using a computer or laptop, select Start > Settings > System > Sound > Troubleshoot common sound problems. Check both the output devices (speakers/headphones) and input devices (microphone).

Check the webcam:

After a recent update, drivers may be missing, or an antivirus program might be blocking the camera. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Cameras to make sure the camera is connected and active.

Check the browser:

Make sure your browser has permissions enabled to access the webcam and microphone. Also, ensure that no other application on your device is using these resources.

Clear cache and cookies:

If the issue persists, clear your browser’s cache and cookies. If this doesn’t solve the problem, try using a different browser.

Use a different device:

If none of the above solutions work, try taking the assessment on a different device.
