The candidate receives the following message: 



Solutions:

  1. Check browser settings: This could be because the browser does not have access to the camera or microphone by default. The participant should review the browser settings and ensure that permissions for the camera and microphone are enabled. Instructions for setting permissions in each browser can be found on Google.
  2. Close other applications: Make sure that no other application is using the webcam, such as video conferencing programs (Webex, Zoom, etc.). Only one application can access the camera at a time.
  3. Check additional cameras: Some devices have more than one camera (for example, an infrared camera). Check if a second camera is active and, if necessary, disable it.


The participant receives the following message:


Solutions:

  • Enable camera and microphone in browser: Make sure both the camera and microphone are enabled in your browser settings.
  • Clear cache and cookies: Clear your browser's cache and cookies or try using a different browser.
  • Change device: If the issue persists, try taking the assessment from a different device.
